Before any watch connoisseur rains down on my review, I should say that I am in no way an expert on time pieces, but more an enthusiastic casual user. I do believe that is more the target for most Amazon reviews anyway.I have to say I really like this piece a lot. I intentionally searched for a daily Victorinox watch since I have had largely satisfying experience with a few other products of theirs. Nearly 2 years after purchasing, and near daily use, I decided to write some thoughts down about it.+First, and probably most important in a watch, it keeps very good time. I have very seldom had to readjust the time at all apart from the normal daylight savings adjustments.+I can tell you I sought out the rubber intentionally because I've had issues with metal links pinching hair on my arm, and I've found leather straps tend to get nasty after a while and are never quite the same again after that. Though I still do sometimes buy those regardless. So I got the rubber with those thoughts in mind and have been very happy with it. It is of nice quality and very comfortable to wear and very forgiving over time thus far. It does require some cleaning attention now and then, but after a few minutes it freshens right up and looks like new after.+This is of personal choice, but I love the olive green kind of pseudo-military look of this watch. It's not something to wear to a wedding or a very formal business meeting necessarily, but it goes well in any more casual situation.+Regarding the inevitable mention of the "Night Vision" feature. Is this a somewhat gimmicky, James Bond yearning comparison, type of feature? Yes I suppose it is. But it is also incredibly useful and I believe a bit fun. Yes my phone has a functioning flashlight that I use very often. I still have found myself in a situation where my watch was closer at hand or of a more practical angle to find or view something I needed in the dark. I can also say that I have had the watch nearly 2 years and have used the light with decent regularity and have yet to change the extra battery for it. Personally, I think if one can use it that much and not have to change the battery then it really isn't that detrimental even if it was hard to change. If it only occurs every few years is it really worth whining about? The positives of having the light when you need it outweigh that potential negative of needing to change it I believe.-If there is one negative I can and will say it is in that the other light on the face does not function all that well for actually reading the time. The luminescent dials last only minutes so you're left with this light to read the dials in the dark. The light can give a general idea but is largely not bright enough in my opinion. All that to say is that the Victorinox "Night Vision" (241595) is of very nice quality at this price point and can serve as a reliable and practical everyday use timepiece.
